Updated September 29, 2021
Our full level of safety protocols remain in place as Nova Scotia transitions to a modified Phase 5 reopening plan, and introduction of proof of vaccination on October 4, 2021.
Many of our clients are undergoing cancer therapies, or are otherwise immune compromised, and require ongoing swelling management and care. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe and healthy space for everyone.
Masks are mandatory
Non-medical masks are mandatory. Please bring your own, clean mask and arrive wearing it. Face shields without a mask aren't permitted.
We ask about vaccination status
MLD Clinic staff are fully vaccinated and we ask all clients about their vaccination status. There are only a few medically approved reasons to be unvaccinated. If you are partially or fully unvaccinated, call us to discuss before booking therapy.
Make contactless payment via e-transfer
At the time of your therapy visit, kindly pay by e-transfer. Receipts are emailed. Note: we don't accept debit or credit card transactions. (Cash or cheques are an acceptable alternative to e-transfers, if needed.)
Our waiting area is closed
Please arrive on time and wait in your car if you’re early. Friends and family are also asked to wait outside for you. Exceptions are made for those needing caregiver supports. Caregivers will also be screened for symptoms and asked their vaccination status.
Health screens are completed for each visit
You'll receive our email 1-2 days before your appointment. We'll screen you again at the door when you arrive.
Please don’t wear gloves. We have hand sanitizer and good, tried-and-true soap and water! You’ll be asked to clean your hands upon arrival and after therapy.
Time and space
We take 30 minutes between each appointment to eliminate the chance of overlap between clients.
Lots of cleaning
Increased cleaning protocols are completed between each client session and at the end of the therapy day.
