Payment is made at each therapy visit
Payment is made by e-transfer, cash or cheque at the time of service. Direct billing to insurers is not offered. MLD therapy is subject to 14% HST. Listed fees are after tax amounts.
We provide treatment plan-based care. Payment for individual appointments within a planned therapy series is made at each visit.
MLD therapy is covered by insurers under massage therapy
Insurers reimburse MLD therapy under massage therapy.
Doctors' notes are not needed to attend either an initial assessment or subsequent therapy sessions, although your insurer may require one for reimbursement purposes.
Many private insurance plans reimburse medical grade compression garments. Often a certain number of items or a capped dollar amount per year. Plans differ widely, so please check your coverage details with your provider. Nova Scotia's MSI program does not cover massage therapy or compression garments.
